In the vineyard:

Brutally cold temperatures have kept us away from any serious pruning. The vines should handle temperatures down to zero Fahrenheit, but negative temperatures would give cause for worry of bud damage. Vines don’t experience wind chill factors, but we do!

In the cellar:

Vintage 2017 has been put to bed. In January we start to taste, evaluate and blend the 2017 wines. In the meantime we are getting ready to bottle more of the 2016 vintage. including Hardscrabble Chardonnay, Claret and Petit Verdot.
