In the vineyard:
June was very hot and finally dry. In fact we are in the rare situation were we are hoping for a good soaking rain! This helped insurse a good pollination, so we have only seen minor problems. The season is still tracking about a week or more early. We are now beginning to thin the clusters for yield control and enhanced aeration.
In the cellar:
Not much happening in the cellar as our priority is the vineyard this time of the year. We will soon (August) be getting ready to bottle the 2015 Reds and 2016 Chardonnays. The 2016 whites are very fruit forward with moderate acidity making them drink well early in their evolution. We have already released the 2016 Rose and Sauvignon Blanc.
