2013 Claret
Claret is a blended wine. The grapes for the 2013 vintage are Merlot (54%), Cabernet Franc (27%), Cabernet Sauvignon (16%) and Petit Verdot (3%). They are grown at all three of our vineyards.
Nine years past vintage this wine demonstrates the reward of aging. It remains fresh and lively with a red cherry brightness. It also has a darker side of fig or plum compote, fall leaves and lingering tannins.
This is complexity. That can only come with age.
Each weekend Linden features an older vintage from our wine library for tasting. Additionally, Friends of Linden can purchase a carafe of the wine to enjoy on the deck. Unfortunately we rarely have enough stock to purchase by the bottle.
