Finally

Four soaking inches of rain fell last week. The vines are responding with verdant vigor. This rain will help mitigate some of the issues we have been observing in the vineyard. Two years of drought (2023 and 2024) and last year's Spotted Lanternfly invasion have left some vines in a weakened condition. This April's freeze also reduced the crop in some of our lower elevation vineyard blocks. Vintage 2025 will be light on quantity, but our hope is that it will be long on quality.

2019 Village Chardonnay: The richest of these four Chardonnays, this wine has more ripe characteristics. It pairs with chicken or salmon on the grill for a Memorial Day cookout.

2020 Hardscrabble Chardonnay: Taste what all the buzz is about. See the recent Vine Pair Article. This wine is classic Hardscrabble: just entering the sweet spot for drinking. One critic suggested holding until 2033.
