Linden Update | June 18, 2025
Introductions
Amanda Zangari has been part of the tasting room for over a decade now. Earlier this year, she stepped into a new role as the Linden Vineyards Tasting Room Manager. Manda hails from New York, but calls Front Royal home now, loves Petit Verdot, and can conduct a tasting in American Sign Language.
With Manda at the helm, we are refocusing on some of the elements that make our tasting room and the Linden experience so special.
Reservations are preferred, especially on a beautiful Saturday, but walk-ins are also welcome. If space is not available at the tasting counter when you arrive, you can enjoy the view while you wait, perhaps with a splash of wine.
Our sunroom and deck are now open to anyone to enjoy after their tasting. We have a curated selection of local cheese and salami to pair with our wines, along with baguettes and olive oil. You are also welcome to bring your own nibbles.
When you purchase 6 bottles of wine at one time, you become a Friend of Linden for a year. You will receive invitations and first access to events such as special library or barrel tastings, in-depth seminars, vineyard and cellar tours, vintner's dinners at restaurants, and additional experiences.
Cellar tastings are coming back — later this summer be on the lookout for a few select weekends when you can escape to the cellar.
New Comparative Tasting: 2020 Riesling, 2019 and 2020 Village Chardonnay, 2023 Avenius Sauvignon Blanc and 2023 Hardscrabble Sauvignon Blanc, 2022 Claret and 2022 Cabernet Franc
New Tasting
As always, we are regularly refreshing our current tasting with the season in mind. It is about to get hot, and we are craving refreshing Chardonnays and Sauvignon Blancs. We will do a vintage comparison of 2019 and 2020 Chardonnays and a terroir comparison of Avenius and Hardscrabble Sauvignon Blancs. We have also been tasting potential new releases and are ready to share two new red wines from the 2022 vintage. The 2022 Cabernet Franc, the first single varietal we have made since 2010, and the 2022 Claret will be released starting this weekend.
Reservations are recommended, but walk-ins are also welcome.
